Zapphire Boy is by Zafferano (SWB), a stallion recognized for his expressive gaits, uphill build, and willingness to please. Zafferano descends from Zaladin MI and the influential Blue Hors Zack, making him a valuable contributor to sporthorse breeding programs.

On the dam side, Zapphire Boy is out of WirwavonHohenstaufen (SWB), who descends from Hohenstaufen II and Hohenstein, both famous Grand Prix Dressage Stallions, known for their elegance, rideability, and consistent performance in the dressage ring.
