Is Zapphire bred for Dressage or Jumping?
Is Zapphire bred for Dressage or Jumping?
Zapphire has mainly dressage bloodlines but there is also some Grand Prix jumper blood in there too. His pedigree includes notable show-jumping lineage, particularly through his dam's side:
Her sire, Hohenstaufen II, is a descendant of Hohenstein, a Trakehner stallion known for producing versatile sport horses.
Sired by Quite Easy, a stallion renowned for his success in show jumping.
Quite Easy is by Quidam de Revel, a celebrated Selle Français stallion who secured a team bronze at the 1992 Olympics and has sired numerous top-level jumpers.
Hence Zapphire is a great option for any mare owner looking to breed a versatile sport horse that can be used in both, dressage, Jumpers, hunters and eventing.
